Argentina Refutes US Official’s Fallacious Comments

Prensa Latina -  Apr 5

Buenos Aires, Apr 5 (Prensa Latina) Argentina on Sunday described as interference the comments made by a US official about this country’s political and economic behavior.

In a communiqué, the Foreign Ministry said that unlike the United States, Argentina does not tend to make comments about other nations’ internal matters, although it does criticize and will continue criticizing any interference in the internal affairs of other countries.

The response was made to US Undersecretary of State for Western Affairs Roberta Jacobson, who had a negative opinion about the progress of Argentina’s policy and economy, saying that “it is in a very bad shape.”

The Foreign Ministry’s communiqué stated that US officials should care about the situation of millions of their compatriots before making comments about the reality in other nations.

It also highlighted that about 12 years of an autonomous, sovereign, and inclusive economic policy have taught Argentineans not to be scared by foreign officials’ fallacious comments.
